These terms are the agreement between you and the reeldot team for the use of reeldot — the app and the site at reeldot.app. By signing in or using it, you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it. How we handle your data is a separate document: our privacy policy.
You need to be at least 13 years old. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these on your own, you need to meet that age instead. You sign in with a Google account, and you are responsible for what happens under yours — keep access to it secure, and tell us if you think someone else has it.
You can look around without signing in, but everything you add before you do lands in a shared demo space: other signed-out visitors can see it, and it is wiped whenever the app restarts. Sign in before you save anything you want to keep.
The places you save, the notes you write, the itineraries you build and the reels you link remain yours. We do not claim ownership of any of it.
To run the app we need your permission to store it, back it up, and show it back to you and to the people you choose to share it with. That permission is limited to operating reeldot, lasts as long as you keep the content in the app, and ends when you delete it. We do not use your content to advertise to you, and we do not license it to anyone else.
A username is yours to use, not to own. We may reclaim or change one that impersonates someone, is used to abuse people, or was registered to sit on a name — and we may remove a profile, bio, avatar or social link that breaks the rules below.
When you save a reel, you are saving a link to something hosted on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or Pinterest. We keep a copy of its preview image so the tile still shows something after the original link expires. We do not store the video: watching a reel opens it on the platform it came from, under that platform's terms. The material belongs to whoever made it, not to you and not to us.
Only add links, photos and text you have the right to add. If you are the rights holder for something cached in reeldot and you want it gone, email support.reeldot@gmail.com and we will remove it.
The app links to places we do not run: Instagram, TikTok and YouTube searches, a venue's own website or phone number, Google Maps and Google Flights, and our booking partners. Once you follow one of those you are on someone else's service, under their terms — we do not control what they show you or what they do with your visit.
Some links are affiliate links. If you book something after tapping one — an experience on Klook, a hotel on Agoda — we may receive a commission from that partner, at no extra cost to you. A link like that may pass through an affiliate network on its way, which is how the booking gets credited to us. Prices, deals and availability are set by the partner, not by us, and may change or end without notice. Whether to book is entirely your call, and the booking is between you and them — we are not a party to it and cannot help with their refunds, cancellations or customer service.
Every profile carries a Report and a Block action, and posts on a shared trip's planning board can be reported too. Blocking hides the two of you from each other — neither can see the other's profile, follow them, or invite them to a trip — and removes any follows between you. It does not change a trip you already share; removing someone from a trip is the owner's job.
We read every report and aim to deal with them within 24 hours. Content that breaks the rules above is removed, and accounts that keep breaking them are suspended or closed. We do not tell the person who reported you that they were the one who did.
We also screen names, display names, bios and the titles of anything you publish to your profile, and will refuse ones containing slurs or obvious abuse. That screening is a filter, not a judgement — it misses things, which is why reporting exists alongside it.
Support runs inside the app, so both sides keep the thread. A ticket carries a short diagnostics block — app version, screen size, browser — which is listed in the privacy policy. We read tickets to fix things and to improve the app, and we may use what you tell us to do that without owing you anything for it.
reeldot is under active development. Features get added, changed and sometimes removed, and the service may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We do not promise any level of uptime. If we are ever going to shut something down that holds your data, we will give you notice in the app and a way to get your data out.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take care with backups, but no service is immune to data loss.
Trips and pin lists you delete sit in "Recently deleted" for 30 days and can be restored; each tab has its own bin. Reel folders are removed straight away and cannot be restored. Deleting a scheduled stop from an itinerary deletes that copy of it outright — the original saved pin is untouched.
You can stop using reeldot whenever you like and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by following these instructions. Your account is hidden immediately, and permanently deleted after 30 days — sign in again before then and you can restore it. Any paid plan is cancelled as soon as you delete, and restoring does not bring it back.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts other users or the service at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why first and give you a chance to put it right.
reeldot is free, and it is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for anything that follows from relying on information the app got from a third party — a missed flight, a closed restaurant, a booking that went wrong.
Nothing here removes rights you have that cannot be removed by agreement. Consumer law in your country may give you guarantees we cannot exclude, and if so, those guarantees apply regardless of anything above.
These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about reeldot. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. You cannot transfer this agreement to someone else; we may transfer it if reeldot itself changes hands, and we will say so in the app if that happens.
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is a material one, we will say so in the app. Carrying on using reeldot after a change means you accept the new version.
Questions about these terms go to support.reeldot@gmail.com.
